Sort Them Ducks System Requirements

Steam lists Sort Them Ducks as a Windows game (app 4992070) with full controller support, Steam Cloud, DualShock / DualSense notes, and Family Sharing. There is no Mac build. platforms.linux is false on the API, but the store still publishes SteamOS minimum and recommended lines — that is how Deck / Proton players should read the page, not as a native Linux client promise.

Pair this sheet with performance if the picture flashes, and with Controls if the stick or mouse feels drunk. Specs do not sort ducks. They only tell you whether the shop will load.

Those GPU lines look steep for a cozy toy shop. Reviewers still finished on ordinary laptops and handhelds after capping FPS and raising look sensitivity. The expensive view is a mountain of unplaced ducks, not a ray-traced puddle. If the min card scares you, cap frames first, then read performance notes, then refund if the image is actually unsafe.

AMD desktop and handheld users who see flicker, black frames, or weird mouse feel should use the Ryzen launch option added in Patch 1. Intel machines that already run clean should not enable it “just in case.”

SteamOS / Deck / handhelds

Steam publishes SteamOS lines even though Linux is not a store checkbox:

There is no Steam Deck Verified badge we can honestly print. Players have finished Deck sessions anyway. Cap FPS. If you are on an AMD handheld path and the image strobes, try the Ryzen option. Proton is the experiment; unofficial Windows-only console flags are not.

Respawning played on PC and a Legion Go 2. Performance was mostly fine, with dips when looking into dense piles. The uglier bug was Steam Cloud: skills arrived on the other machine without the shelves already filled. Waiting on the cloud icon, resyncing, and reloading fixed it. If you hop from handheld to desktop, confirm a finished aisle is still finished before you spend another hour.

What else the store page actually says

Launch-week Steam still showed an introductory 10% on the $5.99 USD tag (about $5.39). Offers expire. Trust the store widget, not a wiki price tattoo.

Graphics options in-game are thin. Treat Your Geek lowered the FPS cap and raised sensitivity on both mouse and controller. That pairing is the real “can I run it” tweak. Window aisles (superheroes, countries, animals) can haze on some GPUs even when the frame rate is fine — that is lighting, not a missing GTX 1080.

A sane buy / refund check

1. Confirm Windows 10+, DirectX 12, and 4 GB free.
2. If you are on Ryzen and the trailer already strobes on your machine, plan to use the launch option.
3. If you live on Deck, expect Proton, a frame cap, and Cloud patience.
4. If you need Mac, wait — there is nothing to buy yet.
5. If the loop sounds boring in the review, specs will not save the evening.

Then go to Getting Started. A requirements page that keeps you shopping for a new GPU has failed. A page that sends you into the pile with a cap and a launch option has done its job.
